Piano Lessons

We are now taking piano students! We are located in Davison, Genesee County, the greater Flint area.

Having over 20 years of piano teaching experience and college-level training. SuzAnne has played for over 30 years. Many of her students are now adults and teaching others!

We are not “stuck” on a particular method, but are able to teach the youngest of children to mature adults.

Beginning Students

  • We recommend that parents take the first two lessons.
  • We recommend that parents attend every lesson thereafter.
  • First lesson is 45 minutes at the 30 minute price

Materials Needed

  • You must own your own piano (acoustical or digital) to practice at home.
  • Student’s will pay for books when they receive them. Each student must bring a notebook in addition to his/her books to each lesson. Books purchased by the teacher will include the cost of shipping.
  • If a student forgets his/her books and materials, he/she is still responsible for the full lesson time and payment. Lessons can not be taught without books and materials.

Payments and Terms

  • Lessons are $20.00 per half hour.
  • Sibling lessons: Families with more than one child enrolled in piano lessons at Brava! Music will receive lessons for $17.00 after the first child.
  • Lessons will be divided into 16 week semesters (Fall and Spring).
  • Students are asked to enroll for the entire semester unless special arrangements have been made. Students enrolling mid-semester are asked to enroll for the remainder of the semester.
  • Students will pay for 13 lessons during a given semester. This allows for the student to miss 3 lessons per semester. There will be a make-up week available at the end of each semester.
  • Payment for the semester will be upon registration or on the date of the first lesson unless other arrangements have been made. We accept cash, check and credit cards.
  • Group lessons will be paid for at the time of the class.
  • Students should inform the teacher at least 24 hours in advance of a planned absence. Please notify us as soon as possible in the case of an emergency or illness.
  • Planned absences without prior notification may result in no make-up lesson (the student will still be billed). The make-up lesson is at the discretion and convenience of the teacher. Please call ahead if you can’t make a lesson. Please remember that I have set that time aside for you and I need to be reimbursed for my time.
  • The student will still be billed for 13 lessons even if he/she misses more than 3 lessons unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • If the teacher has to cancel a lesson, it will be her responsibility to reschedule the lesson at the student’s convenience.
  • Summers Summer lessons times, frequency and payment will be determined between the student and teacher.
  • Recitals Students will participate in regular recitals at the teacher’s discretion. Recitals give the student an opportunity to demonstrate the progress he/she has made.

Statement of Liability

Upon enrolling in any classes or instruction offered by Brava! Music LLC I agree to hold harmless Brava! Music LLC or SuzAnne Pendley, from all claims, except for illness and injury resulting from gross negligence of willful misconduct on the part of its employees. I am enrolling my child/children in Brava! Music Piano for the entire session. I understand I am fully responsible for the full semester tuition and home materials fee, which are due by the first class of the semester. I agree to abide by the policies set by Brava!
